My husband and I decided to have our old deck replaced a couple of months ago. We started looking into potential builders. We met with several including Tony. As we began this search, we also began making some additional ideas to our plans. We decided that maybe we would like to enclose part of the deck. When we contacted Tony, he came right out. He listened to our ideas and made some suggestions based on those ideas. He measured and sent us an estimate promptly. My husband was quite impressed with Tony's figures. Not being up on these things, I listened to what my husband had to say and we decided to have Tony do the work.
A harder working man I don't think I have met. He was here whenever anything was being delivered, from the dumpster to the materials to the people he had lay the floor on the screen porch. He continually kept us informed on everything. He made suggestions such as the type of tile that would work best on the porch floor. He even went to Lowe's and got the number match for stain to match the composite decking he was installing.
When it was time to lay the floor, he was here sealing up the porch and putting in a heater because the room had to maintain a temperature of around 50 degrees when porceline tile is being laid. He worked long and hard to ensure we got what we wanted. He even took it upon himself to replace some siding on our house that was damaged when the old deck was removed. He arranged for someone to come out and measure and add guttering to match the guttering we already had in place. We have a 2 year old granddaughter and wanted to ensure her safety when she plays on the deck. Tony made us a gate for the top of the steps on the deck. He put a wheel on the bottom to keep it upright at all times. He also put a lock on it for us. Its those little things that he thinks about and adds to his work that makes him stand out in our eyes.
I don't think anyone could find anyone better to do any kind of work around your home than Tony Peterson. In the process of doing this work for us, he has become a good friend. It was like having a relative do this work for us. Nothing went unnoticed. He is top knotch. He cares about his work and doing it right. But most important, he takes pride in what he does and will give you his best. That is rare these days. Most people just do the work and are gone. Not Tony. He lives up to his business title - dependable Tony!!!! You won't go wrong with him.

In the fall of 2010 we decided to finish our basement, including adding a bathroom, more electrical outlets, new walls, doors, a full HVAC system and carpet and tile. We interviewed five different main contractors and in the end chose Tony of Dependable and Prompt. When given the opportunity to view one of Tony’s previous basement completions and speak to the enthusiastic couple who praised the quality of Tony’s work, we decided to hire him as our contractor. Tony’s price was also the most reasonable, mostly because he does a lot of the work himself and is a licensed builder and electrician. He was present every day, and when he was not framing or doing the electrical, he was helping the other contractors on their projects. Courteous and conscientious of our family’s needs, Tony was never in the way or a distraction to our schedule (In fact, our kids adored him!) In addition to his work ethic and quality, Tony was eager to help us save money where we could, finding deals on items and returning unused materials.
We have seldom discovered a company that has been so aptly named. Tony was so prompt and dependable that he always arrived before his scheduled time and completed a four week project in less than three weeks. All contractors, permits, and inspections were timely and on schedule and very little time was lost. There were days when he spent over ten hours at our home making sure that all the details of the project were complete and to our expectations. When changes needed to be made or when we realized something was not as we expected, Tony was quick and agreeable to make the changes and ensure our satisfaction. His team is neat and cleaned up after every day to keep the site safe and uncluttered. We cannot say enough about Tony’s work ethic and highly recommend him and his prompt and dependable team.

My wife and I were seeking to have our front porch renovated. We came across the Dependable and Prompt website and liked the work that was displayed. We later found out that one of our friends in the neighborhood had used Dependable and Prompt to rebuild a wood deck in the back of their house. Our friend had nothing but positive feedback on the professionalism, work ethics and overall craftsmanship of their project. With this recommendation we felt confident and contacted Dependable and Prompt to renovate our front porch.
Tony Peterson, Owner, came out to our house on the same day that we had contacted him. Tony listened intently to what we were seeking and began to take measurements. He politely offered a few suggestions that enhanced the image we had in our mind with keeping the cost at a minimum.
Throughout the entire process, Tony always kept us in the loop (product, price, dates, etc. ) via telephone or stopping by the house. The front porch took only 1 1/2 days to complete. We are continuously receiving compliments by our neighbors that are either walking or driving past our house. Everyone is amazed how beautiful our front porch looks and how it has changed the look of our home.
Any type of renovation can be a bit nerve wrecking, especially the front of your house. Tony's professionalism, skill, work ethics, and overall demeanor has made this a seamless process. Tony truly is Dependable and Prompt.

"We contacted Dependable and Prompt to have estimate done to build a deck due in large part to the testimonials and photos on this website. As stated Tony was out PROMPTLY the next morning to discuss our wishes for a new deck. He listened attentively to our ideas, and offered the perfect solutions to meet our specifications. Immediately after this initial meeting Tony had completed and emailed a computer image of what the completed deck would look like on our house. This computer software program he utilizes is impressive and very helpful for envisioning how the completed project will look. A couple hours later that same day Tony had emailed the quote for the entire project which included a detailed material listing (how impressive to have concept to detailed quote in a matter of hours). He then called to answer any questions/concerns we may have had regarding the quote.
Upon our acceptance Tony ordered the material, and was at our house when it was delivered to ensure it was unloaded properly. They then impressively completed the 28 x 12 deck, a 7 x 8 landing area, and full story of steps connecting them to our patio in less than 3 days including the removal of our old 10 X 10 deck. "Two years ago, we decided to build a deck on our home. I spent those two years deciding and designing what we wanted to meet our needs. My wife and I were going to build it ourselves since we are both retired and have done projects like this before. We realized that the time got away and we still had not started our deck. Then we decided that it may be more economical to hire a contractor and have it completed in a few weeks, rather than months we would take.
I met Tony Peterson at Lowe’s. He showed me pictures of his projects, which were impressive, and I mentioned this to my wife. Soon we had Tony at our home reviewing our plans and offered a bid. Being an engineer, and meticulous, I knew what I wanted and was intent on staying with my plan. Then Tony offered some suggestions, re-drew my design on his computer and showed me how we could save hundreds of dollars just by adjusting the length by one foot and the width by two feet. It made sense and we made a contract right then and there. More savings were to come as Tony negotiated pricing with his network at various suppliers.
At 50% completion of the deck (65 ft X 26 ft), I liked his work and reliability of maintaining a schedule toward the finish date established. With this, we negotiated an additional contract for him to construct a room addition (22 ft X 23 ft). This room was to sit on top of the deck and become our exercise room. Again, he came up with more ideas and suggestions which saved additional dollars as well as adding enhanced features.
There have been other contractors visit our home and they have made positive comments on the quality of work. When I mentioned the time (4 weeks and 2 days) for completion, they were astounded. My Jacuzzi service (the owner of our local pool and Spa Company) commented that he has many customers wanting to know who could build a deck or room for their equipment, and previously had none to recommend. After seeing ours, he took some of Tony’s business cards, and when spring comes, he wants pictures to have available at his place of business.
Our deadline was established for both projects and he finished two days ahead of schedule. We are very satisfied with his quality of work, promptness and dependability to meet the end result.

"First impressions are important, in terms of establishing credibility for a contractor. The first impressions were very favorable, due to a prompt response to my initial inquiry about contractors in my area, due also to a very impressive web site.
